The District Attorney’s office of Santa Barbara County is conducting a criminal investigation of Orson Mozes and Christen Brown. In consideration are theft by false pretenses and ‘bait and switch’ type schemes for the adoption of children from European countries through AIP. These would be felony charges. No charges have been filed yet and the DA’s office is seeking former clients to build a case. Many have come forward already.

We fell in love with a picture of a little boy which was on a photolisting. We called Orson right away and he told us that this child was available. If we wanted him taken off of the site and held for us we would have to send him almost $9,000. We did this and I began asking some questions about the child.

I was put off repeatedly and was told that he would have info for us in a few months. (?) We waited and when the few months were up I had to call him. He told me that he was having trouble finding out anything about this child. (???) This was starting to really worry me and when I asked again he told me that ‘I fear the worst but there are other children. I get the best children.’

Well we wanted the child promised us and he really began smelling like a rat. My husband still wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. He called Kevin Anderson to see what he would say. Kevin told him that yes the child is there. HHMMMM…..how would they know this if Orson could not find any information?

During the process and before we ‘woke up’ and saw this sleazy operation for what it was we feared a delay in our ability to travel. Tom called and asked Orson if it would be ok to hold the child a little longer or would that be unfair to the child. Orson jumped on this and told Tom ‘No, it would be best to let the child go to another home’.

Looking back Tom realizes that it was a great relief to Orson and would have gotten him off of the hook from his lies and deceit. AIP basically stole our money for no services rendered..they did NOTHING for us except break our hearts and lie through their teeth. We requested our money back for fraudulent reasons but there has been no response…NOTHING!

STAY AWAY FROM ORSON MOZES, KEVIN ANDERSON AND CHRISTEN BROWN.

This makes a mockery of international adoption. They are greedy dishonest people who are in it for the almighty dollar. I expect a rebuttal….if so it will just be more of their lies.
